A Wish Worth Waiting For

There are restaurants you visit because they're popular.

Then there are restaurants you dream about long before you ever make a reservation.

For me, Addison in Del Mar has always been one of those places.

As someone who loves beautiful experiences, not just beautiful meals, I've found myself coming back to Addison time and time again while planning future adventures. Every photograph, every story, every detail seems to promise something more than dinner. It promises an evening you'll remember.

That's what has always drawn me in.

Not simply the prestige of being San Diego's only three Michelin star restaurant, but the intention behind every part of the experience. I've never believed the best evenings are defined by what's served on the plate. They're defined by the conversations that unfold across the table, the thoughtful details that make you feel cared for, and the moments that stay with you long after you've gone home.

This year, that dream became even more exciting.

After an extensive renovation, Addison reopened its doors this spring with a beautifully reimagined dining room and an elegant new Champagne Lounge. It's a fresh new chapter for a restaurant that has already become one of Southern California's most celebrated culinary destinations.

There's something special about experiencing a place during a new beginning.

Everything feels fresh.

Every detail has been thoughtfully considered.

You aren't simply visiting a destination. You're stepping into the first pages of its next story.

I think that's part of why Addison has remained on my Dream Date Wishlist for so long.

Not because I've been waiting for the perfect occasion, but because some experiences deserve to be anticipated. There's a quiet joy in looking forward to something you've imagined for years, knowing that one day it will become more than a photograph or a story. It will become a memory of your own.

I have a feeling Addison won't stay on my wishlist much longer.
